Beta Blogging?
Dearest internet-savvy, html-oriented people,
Have any of you blogging on Blogger switched over to their new Beta blogging? Was it easy? Do you like it?
Speak slowly, because all of this stuff is waaaay over my head.

Peace, I am using Firefox now and am able to read back to 2005 in the archive.
I am not a techie so don't have answer to your question.
Hope your weekend is peaceful. Thank you for the reminder to be thankful about the election results without gloating.
I am a northern California fan.

Bonnie, here's how dumb I am: I realized that all I had to do was click the refresh button on my browser to get the current page on Firefox. DOH! Thanks for writing, though, 'cause it's nice to know you're out there!
I switched to Beta but wish I hadn't because I'm not using any of their new features and am switching to wordpress anyway. The DH had to write a special program for me so that wordpress could import my blogger blog. I would say that if you have no interest in switching to another type of blog anytime in the near future (say, six months or so), you're probably okay to switch to Beta. Wordpress and some of the other blog softwares out there don't have an import program for Blogger Beta yet because it's so new and it's well, a Beta (and therefore not finished).
The only other thing about Beta that bugs me is that when I go to comment on another Blogger account, my username and password show up as defaults, but I have to log into the google account first before I can actually comment.
It's cut into my commenting quite a bit.
I just had to write again because my day at the office just "sucked". Reading your blog always makes me think or laugh or sometime both at the same time.
My reward for such a bad day is to fly to LA dn meet my daughter an go to a taping of the Ellen show.

I am also involved in a move to wordpress - and also made the mistake of trying out blogger beta. I am now having to repost everything rather than simply import them.
I do think blogger beta is better in many ways - especially for those lacking technical skills (this includes me). If you use the 'denim' template you can change the colours etc and be a little different.
