Community Organic Garden
I have this fresh new fantasy of organizing an organic community vegetable and flower garden with my church.
Just wondering if any of you has been involved in such an enterprise at your own congregations, and if so, how is it going?
I've been googling around and see that the idea is taking hold all over the country, and even in some Unitarian Universalist communities.
Thrilling! Bring on the compost!

You might want to take a look at this: http://www.acfb.org/projects/community_garden/
and maybe see if your area's Food Bank has a similar program.
We've got a butterfly/hummingbird garden... and people have been very seriously talking about establishing an organic, community (congregational) garden. We've got the space, and the watering system for the butterfly garden would allow us to have some automatic watering for the vegetable garden.
I think it will probably happen within a year, probably as part of our undertaking the Green Sanctuary program.
